Ha presentado cambios relevantes a lo largo de la historia desde la \u00e9poca precolombina, con el proceso de conquista y colonizaci\u00f3n, la llegada de inmigrantes afrodescendientes para la construcci\u00f3n del ferrocarril en el siglo XIX,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>as\u00ed como el intercambio cultural generado como punto de encuentro portuario en el Atl\u00e1ntico y las migraciones internas que conducen a un alto dinamismo que, sin lugar a dudas, impact\u00f3 ayer y hoy la cultura alimentaria de sus pobladores.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Los sabores de la cocina limonense son fruto de la creatividad de las personas en el uso de los productos alimenticios disponibles y el intercambio de saberes que produjo la fusi\u00f3n de saberes y sabores en comidas y bebidas de extraordinaria riqueza, incluyendo la comida afrocaribe\u00f1a.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Cuenta con una extensi\u00f3n de 9188,52\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kil%C3%B3metro_cuadrado\">km\u00b2<\/a>, con 6 cantones y 30
